Black & White Maxi Dress

Hey, hey, hey! I hope you're doing well on this fine Sunday! Question: What is a trend that you have been terrified wary to try? For me, that scary trend is maxi dresses. I would see women wearing them and think, "Wow, she looks so effortless and adorable!" However, I've never been a fan of me in long dresses (I even wore a short dress to my senior prom, which was not considered the norm back then at good ole LHS). My sister is a new first time mom and she wears them on the go all the time. She looks so stinkin' cute in maxis and told me just to try them out. Yet, I was still nervous. Then I was fortunate enough to find this black and white beauty online. I received it in the mail, immediately tried it on, and was transformed into a maxi forever fan. Thank you so much for opening my eyes, Sister Shannon!

Are you into maxi dresses? If you have any reservations, do the opposite of what I did for so long and actually go to a store to try one on before you write them off entirely. Rookie mistake.

  1. That dress looks great on you! Maxi dresses are tricky for me because I am somewhat short (5'4) and busty, so either the boobs don't fit in or it drags on the floor. Lately I have been finding lengths that I love, and when it fits right, a maxi is so, so comfy!

    1. Thank you! I have a similar issue with the bustiness part, so I totally understand. Sometimes a strapless bra just won't cut it :P Thankfully though, this dress is nice and supported even with just spaghetti straps!
