Mix It Up: Stripes & Floral Prints

Hey all! Did you have a good weekend? I spent Friday and Saturday down in Tampa celebrating my 20th 24th birthday [it's actually tomorrow] with some friends from college. It was so fun to see everyone! Yesterday Matt and I went up to Homosassa Springs State Park for a lovely afternoon full of animals (and ice cream cones). It was 75, sunny, and just the perfect way to spend a Sunday.

I wanted to wear something light, casual, and comfortable since I knew we'd be walking around all day in the sun. I decided on a light army green jacket, a striped tank top, my DIY'ed vintage cutoff jorts, and floral flats. I wanted to dip my toes into the "mixing prints trend" pool since I had never done it before, so I stuck with subtle stripes with a small bit of floral. I kept both pieces in a similar color pallet. Are you into mixing prints? I actually really like it, which begs the question: Is it bad that I still take fashion tips from Lizzie McGuire?

Manatees swimming in the natural springs. Can you believe how gorgeous this place is?!

No big deal... just my all time favorite animals: otters.

Have any of you ever been to Homosassa Springs? It is one of the best state parks I've ever been to. I love getting to see all the wildlife native to Florida. If you are ever in the area, I'd definitely recommend taking a day to check it out!
Xoxo,

I will leave you with this picture of Luna being cute, mid-yawn.
