Crop To It Then: Knit Top + White Jeans + Lace-Up Sandals

Happy Sunday to all! How was your weekend? Matt and I spent ours the way we typically have since moving to San Diego: exploring new neighborhoods and getting outdoors as much as possible. Due to this spending time outside by the windy beach, today's outfit post features my knottiest hair to date (as seen below). ๐Ÿ’

Contrary to actual, real fashion bloggers, I do not plan "outfit shoots." What is standard for ol' LunaVida posts is the following: I put on clothing that I am going to wear for that entire day's activities and then I live my actual life. Only then, at the end of the day and if I remember (and if Matt is in a good enough mood to be willing to), we will take three minutes to shoot a few pictures of said outfit. (And even though I've been doing this for 4.5 years now, I still seek out to a corner where no one in public can see me and I die of embarrassment anytime a car drives by and sees me looking like an idiot posing by some flowers.) And now you know why my outfit posts often involve less than perfect hair/makeup/etc (not as though I possess those skills anyway). It's because I usually forget until the "lewk" has already been lived in for 6+ hours. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Black knit crop top with side zippers: ASOS
{Similar $, $$, $$$}

White fringed skinny jeans with zipper detail: c/o PinkBlush
I've always been afraid of wearing white pants (I was scared of dropping stuff on them - which is still a fear of mine since I am very clumsy... - and that they would be unflattering). This pair is my very first ever, and I looove them! These jeans are so dang comfy, they have the best stretch, and I love the zippers on the ankles. (My advice if you plan to get yourself a pair though is to size down. They run a little big in my opinion.)

Fuchsia lace-up flat sandals: Old Navy
{Similar $, $, $$$}

Silver and tortoiseshell aviator sunglasses (also seen here, here & here): Old Navy

Silver "A" initial necklace (also seen here, here & here): c/o Sivado Studio

LC Lauren Conrad long silver arrow necklace: Kohl's

Silver hammered cuff bracelet (also seen here, here & here): Souvenir from our trip to Greece

Even though my hair may be a mess in today's post, I am very pleased with the fact that my sandals match the bougainvillea so well. (And it was totally a happy accident that we didn't even realize!)

What were you up to this weekend?

  1. Love the pop of fushia! I'm always wondering who gets the task of taking the photos when I read fashion blogs. Lucky that Matt does that for you. Posing is too much work for me. Smile or no smile? What do I do with my hands? Where's my coach? =P

  2. I like it alot. That natural feel lasts longer, the 'its the feeling' looks get me the most. I got white pants for my 20th and it was a cool surprise after the night of photos. Those flowers are epic! I need my new ones to come out soon - I'm probably going to plant these other seeds I have. .Perennials, the annuals are probably at a good spot now. Love the outfit choice๐Ÿ‘…
