Black Wednesday: Blouse + Skinny Jeans + Heels

Wednesday, November 25, 2015

Happy Thanksgiving Eve (and a hearty welcome to this glorious four day weekend)!  Matt and I are celebrating with three back-to-back-to-back Friendsgivings.  I am so excited to stuff my face with tofu-rkey, devour all of the desserts, and eat my body weight in mashed potatoes.  After all... Isn't that what the holidays are all about?  ;)

Spot On: Cardigan + Tank + Skinny Jeans + Heels

Tuesday, November 17, 2015

Hi guys!  I am home sick from work today.  Sadly, I've officially been hit by the cold that's been flying around.  I remember when I was younger a "sick day" meant sleeping for the entire school day, followed by my mom making me soup, and then falling asleep yet again to some Harry Potter.  Now?  When I'm sick now in my mid- (ahem, almost late) twenties, I attempt to sleep in, as I know sweet, sweet slumber does an ill body well; however, my mind body soul is so used to waking up early for work that I still wake up earlier than I really want.  Then, since I feel guilty for not being at work, I feel like I should do something productive at home (rather than just resting like I need to be).  Therefore, I am spending today doing all of the things I haven't really wanted to do, yet still need to be done, such as calling customer service about my student loans.  [Adult, Party of One? ... Adult, Party of One?]  So it's safe to say that being an adult hits you like a ton of bricks... I mean, who am I?!  I should just be intermittently Netflix-ing and sleeping my day (and illness) away.  Yet here I am, doing neither of those things.  But, alas, once I finish these tasks and no longer feel guilty, you had better believe that I am bundling up on the couch, soup in hand, and with Harry Potter on the TV.  I'll show you, Adult Life!

The older you get do you also find yourself feeling the need to be responsible all the damn time?  I know I should just rest all day, but "adulting" is just creepin' on into my brain!  HEEEELP MEEEE!

Neutralized: Cargo Jacket + Embroidered Top + Skinny Jeans + Booties

Wednesday, November 11, 2015

Hello!  Can you believe the holiday season is almost upon us?  Just like most people, I really love this time of year.  So much so, that I am one of those "awful, annoying, holiday-hopping" people who, if harsh judgements weren't a factor, would have already put all of my Christmas lights and tree up.  Matt and I made a deal though: half-way through November I can decorate the inside of the house and then the day after Thanksgiving I can decorate the outside.  (This way our neighbors won't know what a freak I am - at least not publicly... unless they come inside and see our fully decorated house, I suppose...)

Are you the type of person, such as myself, who gets so psyched to see the holiday stuff go up in Target the day immediately following Halloween or do you hate people who "skip over" Thanksgiving?  No judgement either way from me, of course!  ;D

Super Shift-y: Floral Dress + Boyfriend Cardigan + Ankle Boots

Tuesday, November 3, 2015

Happy November!  [Which, by the way, when did that happen?  I feel like it was just September and October never even had a chance to happen, right?!]  Anyway, I hope you all had a nice Hallo-weekend.  Matt and I got to finally see the Broadway play Book of Mormon after waiting over four years!  (Site note: It was amazing, and I highly recommend it.)  Other than that, we had a lovely weekend, jam-packed with all of the best things autumn has to offer: cool temps, a bonfire, night games outside, and a haunted house.  If you don't think that is the way the end of October is meant to be spent, then I just don't know what to say to you.  ;)
