Happy Halloween to all and an even happier BIRTHDAY to my sister, Shannon!!!
We've finally made it to one of the most fun holidays of the year! I sure hope you have your costume picked out by now because, if not, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you've got, like, 12 hours to get your 'ish together.
Be safe out there this hallo-weekend, my party people, my trick-or-treaters, and my Hocus Pocus binge watchers... and everyone else in between! [And don't even try to pretend you don't at very least fall into the last Hocus Pocus category, because we all know everyone is an addict for it.]
Hey ya! Seeing as Halloween (AKA my sister, Shannon's birthday) is just a few days away, I felt today's outfit post should be kinda witch-y. I just feel like the lace and color combo of black and purple makes it a little bit spoooooooky, no? Maybe not... maybe that's just all in my head. Ohhh well.
Hi there! I realize that my outfit in today's post looks very summery, despite that it is the end of October. I'm sincerely sorry for that. I am more apologetic, however, for my fellow desert dwellers who still are having to deal with 90+ degrees. I even keep forgetting one of my very favorite holidays -- being Halloween, of course -- is just a few days away! This year I am going as Holly Golightly from Breakfast at Tiffany's, and Matt is being Kato from The Green Hornet. The only issue is that he broke his wrist last week and had to get surgery, so sadly he can no longer wear the famous driving gloves aspect of the costume. Poor guy :( He is healing well though, and he has the promise of loads of candy to make him feel better!
I love to dress up. I feel like I am constantly on the lookout for any excuse to overdress for any occasion that I can find. Whether it's running into Chipotle or a casual gathering with friends, I still find myself adding an extra [perhaps unnecessary for the particular event] accessory or two. Are you always trying to find ways to get just a wee bit fancier or are you flip flops and a tee through and through? I think a little of both is quite nice!

Happy weekend! What are your plans? Binging on Netflix or pre-Halloween parties galore? I'll be with my family (both of my sisters are in Phoenix from out of state!!), celebrating my mom and sister's birthdays!
Hey! How art thou? My sister is in town from Florida, which makes life so much more fun! We've been hanging out watching Sex and the City and drinking champs -- the way life is meant to be spent. Is there any TV show better than SATC? It never gets old, no matter how many times you re-watch the same episodes. Plus, Carrie's outfits in season one just make you feel so grateful that we moved past those styles, ya know?
If you didn't already notice, I did something a little different than usual with the clothing links. Let me know what you think about it, please! Do you like it better or worse this way? Thanks in advance for any feedback, guys!! Unlimited amounts of love sent to you always, of course :)
