Don't Sweat-er It: Sweater + Denim + Boots

Thursday, January 29, 2015

Hey, guys!  Do you remember when it was a big fashion faux pas to wear black and brown together?  Yeah...  It was only just a few years ago when it was still frowned upon.  Thankfully, it is now widely accepted -- and I even personally celebrate it!  I mean, it makes getting dressed each morning much easier now that we can double our outfit options, yeah?!

Believing the Stripe: Jacket + Tank + Skinny Jeans + Boots

Monday, January 26, 2015

Hey!  Did you have a good weekend?  Matt and I spent a large part of our glorious Saturday and Sunday doing the not so glamorous task of house searching.  We have been looking for a house to rent in the central Phoenix area for a few weeks now, and we have not had much luck, unfortunately.  The issue we keep running into is the fact that most landlords don't want large breed dogs.  We just so happen to have a 40 pounder (beautiful Dakota)... and an 85 pounder (sweet, darling Kingsley).  People have nooot been into that, sadly.  They are the best pups I've ever known, and I know we will find an amazing place that accepts them soon... I just hope it's real soon, because our current lease is up at the end of February - AHH!

Texturized: Cardigan + Skirt + Tights + Ankle Boots

Wednesday, January 21, 2015

Hey there!  Last night I was sitting around, drinking some sugary "wine" with my sister, as we did BuzzFeed quizzes.  We took one called "Which Disney Channel Original Movie is a Metaphor For Your Childhood?"  Shannon got The Cheetah Girls.  Me?  I freaking got Smart House.  Really, BuzzFeed?  Really?  SMART HOUSE?!  I'll take that as me being the most boring kid ever to exist.  Here's hoping I grew out of that answer as I adjusted to adulthood...

If you want to take the same quiz you can do so right here.  If you do, please let me know which movie you get below in the comments!  I wish better answers upon you all -- like Brink!  If you get Brink, then you were definitely a cool kid.  We all know this to be true.

Extra! Extra! Tweed All About It: Peacoat + Turtleneck Sweater + Skinnies + Booties

Sunday, January 18, 2015

Happy Sunday!  How has your weekend been so far?  Matt and I have been livin' the Phoenician winter life.  We went hiking with our pups at North Mountain yesterday, because it was a perfect, sunny, 70 degree day.  We hiked up to the top of the mountain and took in the fantastic 360 degree view of the city beneath us.  These views are too pretty for words, and I can't imagine ever living in another place that doesn't have mountains.  I've lived in a rural area, the Midwestern suburbs, an urban college city, a sleepy beach town, and now one of the biggest metropolitan spans in the U.S.  I have to say that Phoenix -- even with it's terrible air quality and lack of water -- is by far my favorite place I've lived so far.  If you haven't been yet, plan a trip and get to hikin' to the top of the mountains, because these views need to be seen by the world!  :)
